Training Center

The training center is designed to improve access to information for the people of Western New York by helping librarians, library staff and library users develop skills in using information technology; in addition, it is available for rental by WNYLRC members and non-members who have a need for a training facility. Training Center Specs: 

Instructor: 1 Instructor's laptop computer, with wired internet access. Located on lectern at front of room, connected to projector. Connections also available to guest laptops via HDMI, VGA, or wireless USB.

 
Class: 15 Classroom laptop computers. HP 4510s, Windows 7 Professional /SP1 /64bit Intel Core Duo CPU 2.20GHz,  4 Gig RAM, 320GB hard drive, DVD-RW. All connected to wifi. Microsoft Office Professional 2010, Various browsers including, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox.
 
 
 
Overhead projector: NEC PA571W Projector , 5700 lumens, 10' screen at front of room, built-in speakers. 
 
 
 

Board Room Specs: 

 
Monitor: Samsung 82-inch monitor with HuddleCam video camera attached.
 
Instructor: 1 Instructor's laptop computer, with wired internet access. Located on cabinet at front of room, connected to monitor. Wireless keyboard and mouse located on the table for easier control of the laptop. Connections also available to guest laptops via HDMI, VGA, or wireless USB.
