Join us for an entertaining and exciting two-hour trolley tour through Forest Lawn and its historic and beautifully landscaped grounds. Learn about the history of the site, including the rural cemetery movement, art and architecture, trees, waterways and wildlife and, most importantly, learn about many of the famous and not so famous, residents. Also included in the tour is a look at some of the items housed in the Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center, as well as a look at the World War 1 exhibit that will be on display.
We will meet at the Archive Center. It is located on the grounds of Forest Lawn on Main Street, corner Jefferson Avenue and is adjacent to the Erie County American Legion Veterans Section of the cemetery and directly opposite the Canisius College Academic Tower. There is a sign in front of the building that says Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center.
